ABOUT

Heights United Soccer Academy has been developing young players since 1994. Our proven techniques have been effective with all soccer players, from beginner to club to premiere. We adapt and modify our instruction to meet the needs of the individual. We also focus on sportsmanship and playing with pride and dignity. Heights United players have gone on to play at the state championship, college, professional and national levels.

HUSA’s six-week Summer Camp offers an energy level that kids love, including music for soccer drills, from disco to Brazilian and hip hop. The camp focuses on individualized foot skills and tactics, speed and agility drills and daily tournament games, along with weekly contests, theme days, arts and crafts, drama and indoor gym games.

Indoor Academy consists of 30-minute foot skills sessions and 30-minute “small-sided” soccer games designed to maximize touches on the ball. Heights United takes only 30 kids per age group per session, so that every player will receive individual instruction.

Tiger Cub Soccer focuses on developing excitement for the game. Our unique and proven foot-skills techniques are introduced through games and music. All players participate in small-side games at the end of each session. Each game has up to five players per side to ensure maximum touches on the ball. Parents are encouraged to participate in all events.

Heights United is led by Sean Sullivan, a 2018 inductee into the Cleveland Heights High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. seanSean was the men’s varsity soccer head coach at Heights High, 2000-2014, and the 2012 winner of the Ron Pinsenschaum Award, the highest coaching honor in Ohio. He still teaches in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school district.

Sean is also director of coaching for the City of Cleveland Heights and former director of coaching for the Eastside Kickers travel club soccer.

Watching hundreds of kids grow in skill and character inspired him to create Heights United Soccer Academy. Sean also has a passion for community service and expects his campers to give back, through yard clean-up services to senior citizens in the neighborhood. His campers have been featured on WKYC-TV. Scene Magazine named Sean “Best Soccer Sensei” in 2009. More about Sean here.
