HUSA’s SPORTS SKILLS AND FITNESS CAMP 2013

July 1-12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Campers will participate in a variety of sports, games and drills that are designed to develop skills and coordination. Sports/games/activities include basketball, softball, volleyball, kickball, floor hockey, dodge ball, track, plus many other small and large group games. Games will be modified as needed to ensure each child can participate successfully. There will also be instructional sessions focusing on tactics and strategies, and daily training and conditioning activities focusing on speed, strength, endurance and agility.

A $100 deposit will secure your spot. There is a $25 non-refundable processing fee. Extended day care may be available until 5 p.m. (for a charge) and free lunch may be available. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt. For more information call 440-241-4725.

Sports Skills & Fitness Camp is led by Noble gym teacher Rich Wright:

• Physical Education teacher for 16 years, including ten in Cleveland Heights at the elementary level (primarily at Noble but also at Fairfax, Roxboro, Boulevard, and Oxford). Also teaches Adapted PE working with students with special needs.
• Program Specialist for CH-UH Schools’ Before/After Childcare Program (2006-2009). Responsible for supervising all aspects of district’s childcare program.
• Coach: middle school softball, volleyball, and basketball (both boys and girls), high school softball and football, YMCA soccer and basketball, youth softball, and many years of directing intramural sports, including flag football, basketball, floor hockey and track.

 

HUSA’s YOUNG AT ART CAMP 2013

Art experiences will include painting, drawing, jewelry making, ceramics, mixed media and more. Young At Art Camp is led by CHUH art teacher Nancy Eisenberg, who holds a BFA from the Center for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design, and a Master’s in Art Education from Case Western Reserve University. She was Ohio’s Outstanding Art Educator in 2008.
